Beni Ouarain carpet

The tribes of the Middle Atlas are distinguished from the Berber tribes of southern Morocco by the thickness of their carpet. The Beni Ouarain are famous for their dense wool carpets, often with off-white backgrounds and black brown patterns. In any case, in this respect they are the best known.

Nevertheless, some Beni Ouarain carpets have beautiful colors of plant origin. There are Beni Ouarain carpets with yellow saffron, yellow and red madder and different natural shades of wool ranging from ivory white to off-white and off-white, as shown in the photo.

Before joining our rug collection in Marrakech, these Beni Ouarain rugs crossed the Middle Atlas where they were born. From their origins to the design salons of interior designers, these carpets have received particular attention due to their rank of flagship carpet in the vast world of Moroccan carpets. They have been the subject of several articles on the blog.
