Approximately 50-70 years old, this Djellaba or
jellaba would have originally been made by a Berber woman for personal use .
She created it with wool and small portions of wool thread, and permitted
herself personal freedom in expressing her own creativity and values through
North African symbology and colors as she wove these designs. This piece is one
of a kind.
