A vintage moroccan beni ourain carpet

Vintage Moroccan Beni Ourain Carpet is a 100% authentic Beni Ourain Hand-Made Moroccan rug made from 100% Sheep Wool,

Dimensions : 107 cm x 190 cm = 3.5 ft x 6.2 ft  to be exact

Gorgeous Silky pile, Benis like this are so rare to find. The irregular diamond patterns, the beautiful fade from light to dark is just so unique. Quality is the best you will ever see.

There are many imitations out there which are often made in Turkey or China, this is directly sent in from Morocco and have all the mailing receipts on hand. To be clear, the Moroccan rug designs of which I speak are from the Beni Ourain people, who comprise 17 Berber tribes from the Atlas Mountains.

These rugs have distinctive designs, which range from ordered geometric shapes to more free-form, expressive patterns. They almost always are in a neutral palette (usually they have an ivory background with brown or black geometric lines), and they have a shaggy pile. This quirkiness is exactly what makes these rugs appealing to interior designers.

They give a room, particularly a cold modern room, warmth and patina as well as a dose of ethnicity I personally handpick all of my pieces directly from Morocco and make sure to choose nothing but the best. If you have any further questions or would like any additional pictures you can always contact me. I have put a flat rate fee for shipping but I will fully refund all shipping costs if less than.

Talking about a Lambswool Beni Ouarain rug is talking about sweetness. At home, you may enjoy having a traditional Moroccan rug hand made in the Middle Atlas mountains in northern Morocco. It seems to be designed for actual living-room decor,
Beni Ouarain rugs are surprisingly modern looking, featuring minimalist designs of diamonds, triangles or naïve figures in black on a white or cream background or sometimes brown pattern on white or cream background. Their abstract simplicity made them attractive to famous modernist architects in the 1920’s and 1930’s,
The Beni Ourain are a relatively large group of tribes inhabiting the mountains south and east of Fes ( Morocco )

Berber Kilims, Moroccan Rag Rug

Morocco’s Berber craft Boucherouite rugs. Can also be hung on walls. Authentic vintage rugs that make a colorful and warm statement. Made from sustainable materials by local artisans – including cotton, nylon and wool. Each is one of a kind.
Dimensions : 130 cm x 212 cm = 4.2 ft x 6.9 ft
Beautiful bold and eye catching Boucharouite rug made of wool and cotton. The quality is just superb, the textures and the choice of colours are absolutely fantastic! This piece will not be unnoticed!
Made of fabrics and wool in the Ourika Valley. The “Boucharouite”, in arabic “Bu Sherwit” means piece made of torn or pre used fabric or rag. This style is the result of a change in the Moroccan society when the berber tribes started to settle and went into farming or other form or employment in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
Materials for these rugs may include wool, cotton, synthetic fibre, lurex, nylon and plastic. The rugs are free style they do not respond to any logic except the one of the weaver who may have been influenced by patterns and designs from her own ancestral tribe.
Traditionally, these rugs were created with bits of leftover textiles in places where raw materials were rare — a beautiful and resourceful way to recycle. Today, Berber women continue the tradition, crafting rugs in an eye-popping array of colors and wild patterns.
They are fun, vibrant, very often colourful and very much in fashion at the moment. Enjoy!
