They are best known for their thick pile carpets of undyed natural wool with soft off-white fields and black ( some times brown ) geometric designs . They are also renowned for their exquisite women's capes and shawls. This vintage Beni Ouarain has an unusual interpretation of a traditional lozenge motif, with a network constructed of irregular lines and several breaks. It is 100% made of wool/ Dimensions : 106 cm x 194 cm = 3.4 ft x 6.3 ft to be exact. Please check the below image for the exact color .

Azilal rugs are a single knot, handmade Moroccan carpets from the Azilal province of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco. These pieces are traditionally cream with few multi colors, occasionally found with additional colors such as red, green and pink. Their size is usually of 131 cm x 317 cm = 4.2 ft x 10.4 ft. While the patterns may seem whimsical and random, they are very telling of the maker’s huge sense of creativity.

Knotted by hand, usually by a woman, they can take up to a year to complete. The intuition, experience and fantasy of the women weaving and knotting the rug permeate their work. The pattern and symbolism in the rug is the voice and expression of the weaver and usually tells a rich story of her life and what is happening to her during that time.
