Amazing Beni Ouarain carpets

Beni Ouarain carpets are authentic Moroccan carpets, entirely hand-made by the women of Beni Ouarain tribes and nearby villages, living in the northeast of the Middle Atlas of Morocco, or in the Beni Mellal regions or in the present-day national park of Tazekka, a province located between the towns of Guercif, Taza and Sefrou.

In the mountains of the Moroccan Atlas, the winter is harsh and cold and it is there that we observe the lowest temperatures of North Africa. To warm up and protect themselves in this hostile environment, families of Beni Ouarain tribes living in traditional tents, had no alternative but to produce thick carpets of very high quality wool.
